1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Jetomics desktop software ("Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.

2. License Grant

Jetomics grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software on devices owned or controlled by you or your institution. This license is strictly for:

  • Research and Educational Use: The Software is intended for scientific research and educational purposes.
  • Single User/Device: Unless you hold an enterprise license, your license key may only be active on the number of devices specified in your plan (default is 1).

3. Desktop-First Architecture

Jetomics is a desktop application. You understand that:

  • The software runs locally on your machine.
  • You are responsible for backing up your own data. Jetomics does not store copies of your raw RNA-seq data on our servers.
  • An internet connection is required for license verification, recieving ongoing software updates, software patches, downloading of the software components/plugins, and specific API-based features (see Privacy Policy).

4. Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.
  • Share your license key with unauthorized third parties.
  • Use the Software to build a competing product or service.
  • Bypass or attempt to circumvent the license verification mechanism.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY. The Software is not intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease. Jetomics is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the software will be error-free or that results will be completely accurate for clinical decision-making.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jetomics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business interruption, arising out of the use or inability to use the Software.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to revoke your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.
